JOB SUMMARY
The Partnership Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of assigned partnership teachers and oversight of learning environments in partnership settings. They will act as a liaison among the Partnership Coordinator, partners, and partnership staff. They will ensure Head Start Performance Standards are met for classroom operations in partnership settings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
•
Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education
•
Bachelor’s degree in a related field equivalent knowledge base gained through lived experience or through formal schooling, independent study, short course or other applicable arrangements.
Education may be waived with significant job related experience

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive and employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned.
Area 1: Program Operations
•
Reinforce, through implementation of all aspects of the Program, the role of parents as primary educator of their children.
•
Role model appropriate adult/child interaction consistent with established Early Childhood Best Practices.
•
Build and reinforce a partnership with families to model best practices.
•
Assist the Coordinators and Teaching team in ensuring each enrolled child on the caseload receives a developmental, sensory, hearing and vision, behavioral screening and nutritional assessment within the timeframe described in the Head Start Performance Standards.
•
May assume tasks of supervised staff when assigned.
•
Provide assistance in partnership classrooms as necessary.
•
Provide assistance in completing on-going child assessments for children in partnership sites.
•
Ensure implementation of activities/educational opportunities that provide for children’s individual achievement based on child assessment data and/or Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
•
Ensure two parent/teacher conferences are offered each year for each enrolled family.
•
Ensure each newly enrolled family in a partnership setting is offered an enrollment visit within two weeks of entry and one additional home visit throughout the year.
•
Assist with supply inventory, and prioritize and make recommendations for purchases based upon needs and Head Start Performance Standards.
•
Engage with child-led learning and other classroom activities by working with children at their level. This includes regularly sitting on the floor and child-sized tables and chairs.
•
Cover classrooms to support staff-child ratios as assigned.

Contribute to and participate in ensuring all child records are up to date to meet licensing standards.
•
Ensure that teaching staff are implementing the curriculum to fidelity.
•
Ensure staff and partners follow guidance/strategies in all service areas.
•
Monitor classroom attendance and support families as needed to meet Program attendance requirements.
•
Articulate and carry out appropriate emergency procedures.
•
Complete a Professional Development Plan and review with supervisor regularly.
Area 3: Program Development
•
Attend staff meetings, and participate in training opportunities offered by the Agency.
•
Attend authorized meetings specific to individual family services as needed.
•
Be an active team member with co-workers and partners, if applicable, in accomplishing Program goals, objectives and assignments.
•
Work cooperatively with Family Engagement Coaches and Service Area staff to assist families in accessing resources as needed.
•
Assist in training volunteers in partnership settings.
•
Participate in Center activities.
Area 4: Program Communication
•
Actively participate in Program recruitment activities.
•
Oversee partnership opportunities for parents to be meaningfully involved in the classroom.
•
Maintain all applicable required records, and submit all applicable reports, data entry, and paperwork in a timely manner as required by supervisor.
•
Maintain case notes documenting family changes/situations and any appropriate referrals to Coordinating staff and/or other agencies.
•
Track/ensure all staff training files are up-to-date.
•
Create and maintain an accurate electronic succession plan for your position.
Area 5: Supervision
•
Directly supervise teaching staff within the partnership centers.
•
Must complete a Professional Development Plan for each staff supervised.
•
Act as a lead resource for supervised partnership teachers.
•
Provide supervised staff under direct supervision with observation visits, performance appraisals, professional development plans and regular, ongoing connection meetings.
