Bring it Home Voucher Program
The Bring It Home (BIH) Rental Assistance program is a new program funded through MN Housing to create rental assistance for low-income families across Minnesota. This is a tenant-based rental assistance program where tenants pay approximately 30% or more of their income towards their rent. The BIH subsidy can only be used in Kanabec, Pine, Chisago and Isanti Counties, Minnesota and cannot be transferred to another housing authority for assistance in a different city.

Households are eligible to apply for the BIH program if they:
• Are a Minnesota resident;
• Have a child or children aged 18 years or younger in the household
• Have an annual income of up to 50% of the area median income (AMI) as determined by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), adjusted for family size;
• Pay more than 30% of the household's annual income on rent;
• Are not receiving federal tenant-based assistance under Section 8 of the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended; and
• Are not currently in a unit receiving project-based assistance under Section 8 of the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended or any other on-going rental assistance except Minnesota Supplemental Aid. Preference Eligibility
• Local preference will be given to those applicants whose last permanent residence was in; Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec and Pine Counties.

Applications will be accepted beginning Wednesday, April 1, 2026
Applications will be closed Thursday, April 30, 2026

Applications will be available in the Lakes and Pines offices (Mora, North Branch, and Moose Lake) or online at www.lakesandpines.org. Applications will be accepted via fax, dropped off at our Lakes and Pines offices (Mora, North Branch, and Moose Lake or emailed to lap@lakesandpines.org.
