Agency crews and contractors provide energy conservation measures such as insulation, weather-stripping, and caulking to help reduce energy costs. Furnaces are also checked. Conservation Improvement Programs through local utility companies also provide funds to assist with energy conservation measures to help reduce the energy use of the utility's clients.
How do you receive weatherization?
A household must first qualify for energy assistance. Then they will receive a phone call from our staff when they match our priority requirements.
What does weatherization program do?
The weatherization will, at no cost to the homeowner, check for air leaks in the home, insulate, seal bypasses, and check the heating system to see if it is running correctly in special situations (the weatherization program may repair or replace heating systems).
